Now that the weather has turned and the leaves are coloring I have some serious fall crafting jitters. And what better way to kick of the fall season with some DIY fall pumpkin crafts. I love decorating with pumpkins and as much as I am into the real deal and using those beautiful heirloom pumpkins in my decor, I also have a soft spot for a homemade DIY pumpkin.

So I collected the most creative ideas for DIY pumpkins made from all kinds of materials like paper, concrete, fabric. And I never knew there are so many ways to make an ordinary dollar store pumpkin look totally amazing with paint, or with embellishments.

Oh and I also sourced some original fall decorations that feature a pumpkin in their design.

If you’d rather eat your pumpkins than use them for decorations, you can still decorate your fall home with pumpkins in every color or style. There are so many creative ways to make a pumpkin. And with a DIY pumpkin you never have to worry that they will go moldy or smelly, in fact you can use them year after year.

Paper Pumpkin Crafts

Go find the perfect tissue paper napkins and make yourself this gorgeous DIY decoupage chinoiserie pumpkin. Decoupage is such an easy craft technique that has many uses (I used it to decoupage Easter eggs).

If you can’t find the perfect napkins, don’t worry. There are plenty of old books in the thrift store that are just waiting to be turned into a craft resource (don’t use the rare ones for this, use the ones that have been printed millions of times).
